Projects#
The Projects section lets you create and edit projects for Process Mining and Task Mining.
1. View projects#
Open Projects from the left menu.

The table contains:
- Project name and description;
- Project type;
- Filtering mode;
- Creation and modification dates;
- Edit and delete buttons.
Each column header has sorting, filtering, and settings menus. Controls for changing the number of displayed rows and moving between pages are below the table.
Buttons above the table:
- Create — open the new project form;
- Refresh — reload the list;
- Delete selected — delete the selected rows.
2. Create a project#
- Click Create.
- Fill in the required Name field.
- Add a description if needed.
- Select a project type.
- For Task Mining projects, configure the filtering mode and application list.
- Click OK.

The project type determines the subsequent workflow:
- Process Mining — analyze event logs;
- Task Mining — analyze user actions;
- Deep Task Mining — analyze actions with linked screenshots.
Process Mining projects analyze data from another system, such as Bitrix24 or 1C. Upload the data manually in Processes. Task Mining projects use data collected by Sherpa PD Agent. The agent is installed on a user workstation and collects data recorded in a CSV file.
There are two ways to transfer the data:
- Agent data can arrive at the server in real time.
- Collected agent data can be uploaded manually.
A Deep Task Mining project also analyzes employee actions, but the agent captures screenshots in addition to tabular CSV data. For each action, it writes a CSV record and takes a screenshot.
Choose a filtering mode. In Blacklist mode, listed applications are excluded from processing. In Whitelist mode, only listed applications are processed.
3. Edit and delete#
- You can change the name and description directly in the table.
- The pencil button opens the full project form.
- You cannot change the type of an existing project.
- The trash button deletes one row after confirmation.
- To delete multiple projects, select them with the checkboxes and click Delete selected.
Deleting a project may affect related processes and data. Before confirming, make sure you selected the intended rows.
4. Project employees#
The Project employees section is available in the form for an existing project (pencil button).
- Click Project employees to expand the section.
- One employee can have several Usernames from logs, for example, if the same person used two computers under different log names.
- Each username must be unique within the project.
Add an employee:
- Enter the Employee name.
- Add one or more usernames manually or select autocomplete suggestions from usernames in the project logs.
- Click Add employee.
Edit or delete:
- Existing entries are shown in view mode.
- Click the pencil icon, change the name or usernames, then save with the checkmark icon.
- The trash icon deletes an employee.
Use in analysis:
- On the Graph and BPMN Diagram screens, the Employee filter limits the visualization to the selected person.
- In dashboards, global variables can use
{{employee_usernames}}and{{employee_username_filter}}to filter by employee.

5. Access rights#
Available actions depend on the permissions of your account Role. If you cannot view, create, edit, or delete projects, ask your administrator for the required permissions.
