Stop Background Robot#
This block sends a stop command to a background robot started with Start Robot. Pass the ID returned by the start block. The command targets that instance. Other background robots keep running.
- Save the Robot ID output of Start Robot to a variable.
- Add Stop Background Robot and use that variable for Robot ID.
- If subsequent actions must wait for the process to exit, enable Wait for exit and set a positive Wait time in seconds.
| Property | Description |
|---|---|
| Robot ID | ID of the running robot. The block accepts a numeric process ID or the ID returned by Start Robot. An empty, nonnumeric, or zero ID triggers an error. A numeric ID for a nonexistent process may finish without an error. Check the result separately. |
| Wait for exit | Checks whether the process has exited after sending the command. Enabled by default. |
| Wait time | Maximum wait time in seconds. The default is 3600. Set a positive number to wait. |
| Error level, Report level, Error message | Common block settings for error handling and reporting. |
Sending a stop command and waiting are separate actions: reaching the wait limit does not confirm that the robot exited. If the scenario depends on the result, check its state with Check Robot Completion.
