Installing Sherpa Process Discovery Agent on RedOS#

sudo privileges are required for installation.

1. Installing .NET Core 8#

General installation instructions are provided on the Microsoft website:

Run in the terminal:

sudo dnf install -y dotnet-sdk-8.0
sudo dnf install https://github.com/PowerShell/PowerShell/releases/download/v7.4.2/powershell-7.4.2-1.rh.x86_64.rpm

2. Installing Tesseract for OCR#

To work with OCR, install tesseract:

sudo dnf install tesseract-langpack-rus

3. Downloading and Running the Installer#

Run in the terminal:

Remove the old version of the installer:

rm -f SherpaPDAgent

Download the latest version of the installer:

wget https://downloads.sherparpa.ru/SherpaRPA/linux/ru/SherpaPDAgent -O SherpaPDAgent

Add execution flag to the file:

chmod +x SherpaPDAgent

Run the installer:

./SherpaPDAgent

To download and run the installer, you can execute a single command. It combines all the actions described above:

rm -f SherpaPDAgent && wget https://downloads.sherparpa.ru/SherpaRPA/linux/ru/SherpaPDAgent -O SherpaPDAgent && chmod +x SherpaPDAgent && ./SherpaPDAgent

4. Installing the Agent#

If the agent was previously installed, a window will appear with action options. Choose "Install" to update the agent or "Remove" to uninstall it.

If the installation is being performed for the first time or "Install" was selected in the previous step, a window with installation options will open.

In it, you can:

create a desktop shortcut;
create a folder in the Start menu;
install the agent for the current user;
install the agent for all users.

Click the "Next" button.

In the next window, select the folder for installing the agent and click "Next" again.

After that, the installation will begin. Wait for the process to complete.

Once the installation is complete, a final window will open. In it, you can launch the agent or open the agent settings.
