Installing Sherpa Process Discovery Agent on OSnova#

sudo privileges are required for installation.

1. Preparation for Installation#

Before installation, you need to disable memory protection.

To disable it permanently, open the configuration file:

sudo mcedit /etc/default/grub

Add the parameter mprotect=off to the line GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT.

Example line:

GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT="quiet mprotect=off"

After modifying the file, update the bootloader configuration:

sudo update-grub

Reboot the computer.

2. Adding Debian Repository for Installing `libgdiplus`#

To install the libgdiplus library, add the Debian repository.

For OSnova 2, execute:

sudo wget https://dl.nppct.ru/onyx/stable/misc/apt/sources.list.d/zz-debian-10-buster.list -P /etc/apt/sources.list.d/

For OSnova 3, execute:

sudo wget https://dl.nppct.ru/onyx3/stable/misc/apt/sources.list.d/zz-debian-12-bookworm.list -P /etc/apt/sources.list.d/

Update the package list:

sudo apt update

3. Installing .NET Core 8#

General installation instructions are available on the Microsoft website:

Execute the commands in the terminal.

For OSnova 2:

wget https://packages.microsoft.com/config/debian/10/packages-microsoft-prod.deb -O packages-microsoft-prod.deb

For OSnova 3:

wget https://packages.microsoft.com/config/debian/12/packages-microsoft-prod.deb -O packages-microsoft-prod.deb

Then execute the common commands:

sudo dpkg -i packages-microsoft-prod.deb
rm packages-microsoft-prod.deb
sudo apt update
sudo apt install -y dotnet-sdk-8.0
sudo apt install -y powershell

4. Installing Tesseract for OCR#

To work with OCR, install tesseract:

sudo apt install tesseract-ocr-rus

5. Downloading and Running the Installer#

Execute in the terminal:

Remove the old version of the installer:

rm -f SherpaPDAgent

Download the latest version of the installer:

wget https://downloads.sherparpa.ru/SherpaRPA/linux/ru/SherpaPDAgent -O SherpaPDAgent

Add execution flag to the file:

chmod +x SherpaPDAgent

Run the installer:

./SherpaPDAgent

To download and run the installer, you can execute a single command. It combines all the actions described above:

rm -f SherpaPDAgent && wget https://downloads.sherparpa.ru/SherpaRPA/linux/ru/SherpaPDAgent -O SherpaPDAgent && chmod +x SherpaPDAgent && ./SherpaPDAgent

6. Installing the Agent#

If the agent was previously installed, a window will appear with action options. Choose "Install" to update the agent or "Remove" to uninstall it.

If the installation is being performed for the first time or "Install" was selected in the previous step, a window with installation options will open.
