Preparing Sherpa PDServer (downloading files)#
At this stage, you will obtain the client package and Docker image archives necessary for installing Sherpa PDServer.
Downloading the client package#
# Example: download the client files archive (the actual URL is provided upon delivery)
curl -L -OJ "https://downloads.sherparpa.ru/SherpaPDServer/pd-client-files/latest"
💡 Comments
curl -L -OJ — follow redirects (-L), save under the name from the server (-OJ).
After unpacking, the installation directory should contain, among other things:
docker-compose.yml(or a separate file specified in the delivery instructions, for exampledocker-compose.client.yml);- a template
.envand directoriesbackend/config,nginx/config,clickhouse/config(as per the delivery composition); - scripts in
sh_scripts/(for example, loading images into Docker).
Downloading Docker images#
Images are supplied as separate archives. The script sh_scripts/load_all_docker_images.sh expects files matching name patterns:
| Pattern / Template | Image |
|---|---|
pd-clickhouse_*.tar.gz |
pd-clickhouse |
pd_*.tar.gz |
pd (backend and related artifacts inside the delivery image) |
pd-rabbit-mq_*.tar.gz |
pd-rabbit-mq |
pd-pg_*.tar.gz |
pd-pg |
pd-graph-service_*.tar.gz |
pd-graph-service |
pd-labeling-service_*.tar.gz |
pd-labeling-service (AI log labeling) |
pd-websocket_*.tar.gz |
pd-websocket |
pd-nginx_*.tar.gz |
pd-nginx |
pd-processor_*.tar.gz |
pd-processor |
Example download commands:
# Examples — one line for each image
curl -L -OJ "https://downloads.sherparpa.ru/SherpaPDServer/pd/latest"
curl -L -OJ "https://downloads.sherparpa.ru/SherpaPDServer/pd-pg/latest"
curl -L -OJ "https://downloads.sherparpa.ru/SherpaPDServer/pd-clickhouse/latest"
curl -L -OJ "https://downloads.sherparpa.ru/SherpaPDServer/pd-rabbit-mq/latest"
curl -L -OJ "https://downloads.sherparpa.ru/SherpaPDServer/pd-nginx/latest"
curl -L -OJ "https://downloads.sherparpa.ru/SherpaPDServer/pd-processor/latest"
curl -L -OJ "https://downloads.sherparpa.ru/SherpaPDServer/pd-graph-service/latest"
curl -L -OJ "https://downloads.sherparpa.ru/SherpaPDServer/pd-labeling-service/latest"
curl -L -OJ "https://downloads.sherparpa.ru/SherpaPDServer/pd-websocket/latest"
Expected result: in one working directory (for example ~/sherpa-pd-install) there are the client archive and all image archives.
Expected time: from a few minutes to an hour depending on the bandwidth and the size of the images.
Possible issues during download#
- Download interruption — retry the download or use
curl -C -to resume. - Insufficient space — check
df -hin advance (guideline: 20 GB for images). - Corrupted archive — re-download the file.
Checking download success#
ls -lh *.tar.gz *.tgz 2>/dev/null
file *.tar.gz *.tgz 2>/dev/null | head
Transferring files to the target server#
Transfer the directory with the archives to the Linux server by any means: SCP/SFTP, network drive, removable media.
Example using SCP:
scp *.tar.gz *.tgz user@target-server:/path/to/installation/
On the server:
ssh user@target-server
cd /path/to/installation
ls -lh
df -h .
Expected result: all files on the target machine, non-zero sizes, sufficient disk space for unpacking and docker load.
