# Installing Sherpa RPA on Windows

Before installing the software products of the Sherpa RPA platform, please review the [system requirements for your computer](https://docs.sherparpa.ru/en/sherpa-rpa).

The programs **Sherpa Designer** and **Sherpa Assistant** are installed simultaneously. To install them, you need to download the [executable file](https://github.com/KonstantinMastak/SherpaDocs/blob/main/En/ssylki-na-distributivy/README.md).

The installation is carried out by the installer, which is launched by the file "SherpaRPA.exe". Save this file to your computer and run it.

In the dialog that opens, select the necessary installation options:

* "Create a desktop shortcut";
* "Create a folder in the Start menu";
* install for: "Current user" or "All users".

Then click the “Next” button:

Choose a folder for the program installation and click the “Next” button:

After that, the installer will begin the installation of the programs, which will take a few minutes:

When the installation is complete, the installer will inform you with a dialog box, where you can click the “Finish” button to complete the installation process or immediately launch the program using the “Launch” button:

The result of the installation will be the appearance of two shortcuts on the desktop:

* **Sherpa Designer;**
* **Sherpa Assistant**.

The next step is to activate the [license key](https://github.com/KonstantinMastak/SherpaDocs/blob/main/En/licenzii/README.md) in the **Sherpa Assistant** application.

**Sherpa Designer** is provided free of charge and does not require License registration. **Sherpa Assistant** requires License registration for each instance of the program.
