# Installing Sherpa Designer

Before installing the software products of the Sherpa RPA platform, please review the [system requirements for the computer](https://docs.sherparpa.ru/en/sherpa-rpa/sherpa-designer/..#sistemnye-trebovaniya-dlya-ustanovki-sherpa-designer).

The programs **Sherpa Designer** and **Sherpa Assistant** are installed simultaneously. To install them, you need to download the [executable file](https://docs.sherparpa.ru/ssylki-na-distributivy).

The installation is carried out by the installer launched by the file "SherpaRPA.exe". Save this file to your computer and run it.

In the dialog that opens, select the installation options you need:

* create a shortcut on the desktop
* create a folder in the "start" menu
* Install for: current user or all users.

Then click the "Next" button.

Choose a folder for the program installation and click the "Next" button.

After that, the installer will begin the installation of the programs, which will take a few minutes.

When the installation is complete, the installer will inform you with a dialog box, where you can click the "Finish" button to complete the installation process or immediately launch the program using the "Launch" button.

The result of the installation will be the appearance of two shortcuts on the desktop: **Sherpa Designer** and **Sherpa Assistant**.

The next step is to activate the license key in the **Sherpa Assistant** application.

**Sherpa Designer** is provided for free and does not require license registration. **Sherpa Assistant** requires license registration for each instance of the program.
