# Lower Central Panel

The bottom panel of the Sherpa Designer user interface contains several additional project settings and three tabs:

* Log;
* Variables;
* Console.

## **Additional Project Settings**

<table data-header-hidden><thead><tr><th width="99"></th><th width="206"></th><th></th></tr></thead><tbody><tr><td><strong>No.</strong></td><td><strong>Interface Element</strong></td><td><strong>Description</strong></td></tr><tr><td>1.</td><td>dropdown list “All variables global/Global and local variables”</td><td>Allows you to select the type of variables. Global or local. When selecting the “All variables global” mode, variables in the project will be accessible from any diagram. When selecting “local and global variables,” each diagram will have its own variables. They can be made global by checking the box next to their name in the variables interface.</td></tr><tr><td>2.</td><td>button <img src="https://lh7-rt.googleusercontent.com/docsz/AD_4nXds4PznDOw2o8pOHYS1Vz3JduUl0vXVxwDYe-18KhCLMvZe9IA_QOjpoCcf5JWReXLDnRzni-Y8ZVuOxMp7kz4HMS5QJb7Jw-F4Y-uPJZQc3v7WQxrRQlok0RAbG_fmW08Nw9O3leD4fL5GNfJuFUbJeLE?key=CghJsycw-PkK2zWZPSfppA" alt=""></td><td>Allows you to show all comments on the diagram.</td></tr><tr><td>3.</td><td><img src="https://lh7-rt.googleusercontent.com/docsz/AD_4nXchlmGQV85GPh7csb2rvHhjAY35DliLD4n-_mypRUBz1SZo5rE0B5xGGKcdbPpiFpemsw0kjvRLL5Dxwmxzi2Gp7hpU_9mv5JpZeTxEMRQG6uXeQdzPNqLkcOCvrWtNZ5ud0YxTZ19fPHr1ZmbATNezuO75?key=CghJsycw-PkK2zWZPSfppA" alt=""></td><td>Allows you to manage the scale of the project diagrams.</td></tr></tbody></table>

## **Log**

**Log** — is a journal of the robot's operation. Records of errors and important warnings from the Designer automatically appear in the log. You can output messages and variable values to the "Log" tab using the "Log" block. This is convenient for debugging the scenario, for example, to notify yourself that the execution of the scenario has reached a certain point or about the result of calculating some expression.

<table data-header-hidden><thead><tr><th width="105"></th><th width="253"></th><th></th></tr></thead><tbody><tr><td><strong>No.</strong></td><td><strong>Interface Element</strong></td><td><strong>Description</strong></td></tr><tr><td>1.</td><td>button <img src="https://lh7-rt.googleusercontent.com/docsz/AD_4nXd1LfPFf1JQFD8z1B4XYaeJI4MmyDun1k38_Xas-sy6s7aAJbjEMHbIEzh-IHcpe7Nz7QS6tSp5rOBLtu0voy7dC0VjPipbqNHLb43ocAksjz4nLgW5cE87uzf3NNd7Umu_eq5P44ca0QaqLCYy9khc7tK3?key=CghJsycw-PkK2zWZPSfppA" alt=""></td><td>Allows you to collapse the bottom panel.</td></tr><tr><td>2.</td><td>button <img src="https://lh7-rt.googleusercontent.com/docsz/AD_4nXcYLjj1ACaxhSNbj1Rus_rM5IB4K0kEkqRREc_bdifE74Y5aqOnN7Uhg1wGEKQfoeL-f_COeRNBiEGDPP2jSJ2i8E744D-Ix5dKUR0d2A0GJ58rxZ8pHxO7UDsfSA5JJw5Gq1tFVMUI74pL0elVX8ZK8p55?key=CghJsycw-PkK2zWZPSfppA" alt=""></td><td>Automatic scrolling of the list</td></tr><tr><td>3.</td><td>button “Clear”</td><td>Allows you to clear the action log.</td></tr><tr><td>4.</td><td>button “Save to file…”</td><td>Allows you to save all log lines to a text file.</td></tr><tr><td>5.</td><td>button “Copy to clipboard”</td><td>Allows you to copy all log lines to the clipboard.</td></tr><tr><td>6.</td><td>button “Open folder with logs”</td><td>Allows you to open the folder with the robot's logs in the file explorer.</td></tr><tr><td>7.</td><td>button “Open folder with project”</td><td>Allows you to open the current project folder in the file explorer.</td></tr><tr><td>8.</td><td>column “Date and Time”</td><td>Date and time of the log entry.</td></tr><tr><td>9.</td><td>column “Block/Command”</td><td>Block/command to which the log entry refers.</td></tr><tr><td>10.</td><td>column “Text (double click opens a window for full text view)”</td><td>Log text.</td></tr><tr><td>11.</td><td>Column “Type”</td><td>Type of log message.</td></tr></tbody></table>

Working with the robot log is described in more detail [here](https://docs.sherparpa.ru/en/sherpa-rpa/sherpa-designer/rabota-v-sherpa-designer/nizhnyaya-centralnaya-panel/rabota-s-logom-robota).

## **Variables**

**The “Variables” tab** displays all variables used in the current project during debugging and when the Designer is paused (unlike the “Variables” panel, which reflects only the variables of the current diagram).

[Variable modes and parameter passing to subprocesses are demonstrated here.](https://sherparpa.ru/ucontent/?06)

## **Console**

There are two modes of operation for the console:

* script stopped;
* script in debugging.

In both cases, you can check expressions in the console, create variables, functions, and so on. The expression uses the PowerShell language format.

<table data-header-hidden><thead><tr><th width="101"></th><th width="206"></th><th></th></tr></thead><tbody><tr><td><strong>No.</strong></td><td><strong>Interface Element</strong></td><td><strong>Description</strong></td></tr><tr><td>1.</td><td>button “Clear”</td><td>Allows you to delete all lines.</td></tr><tr><td>2.</td><td>button “Reload Console”</td><td>Allows you to reset the current state of the console.</td></tr><tr><td>3.</td><td>button “Open Console Window”</td><td>Allows you to open the console window.</td></tr><tr><td>4.</td><td>text field “Execute”</td><td>Executes code in PowerShell in debugging mode in the console.</td></tr><tr><td><br></td><td>button “L”</td><td>Executes code in local debugging mode.</td></tr><tr><td><br></td><td>button “R”</td><td>Executes code in remote debugging mode.</td></tr></tbody></table>
