# Template Designer Interface

The Template Generator is launched from the [Development panel](https://docs.sherparpa.ru/en/sherpa-rpa/sherpa-designer/rabota-v-sherpa-designer/osnovnoe-menyu/panel-razrabotka) in the main menu of the Designer by clicking the "Extract by Template" button.

**The "Extract by Template" button** in the "Record" menu allows you to create intelligent templates for extracting structured and semi-structured information (tables and attributes) from documents in PDF, PNG, JPG formats, etc.

When the "Extract by Template" button is clicked, a new window opens with the template generator (hereinafter referred to as the Template Generator).

The user interface of the Template Generator consists of the following main areas:
